2-VCOs
with
Osc.Sync & X-Modulation

GB426_Left_edited.jpg

VCOs: GRANDBLUE is eight-voice polyphonic. Each voice is made up of two VCOs. Each outputs a SAW waveform and a PULSE waveform. Setting VCO1 and VCO2 to the same pitch will enter Unison mode, and slightly shifting the pitch of VCO2 will enter DeTune mode. You can also set the pitch of VCO2 to an octave different from VCO1, or a fourth lower/fifth higher.

Osc.SYNC & X-Modulation: Oscillator sync forcibly resets the phase of VCO2 with the output of VCO1. The HARD type synchronizes with the start of the VCO1 phase, and the SOFT type synchronizes in the middle of the VCO1 waveform. X-MODULATION (Cross Modulation) modulates the output of VCO1 with the output of VCO2. Both are effective for SAW waveforms. They do not work with PULSE waveforms.

2-Envelope Generators

Envelope Generator: Equipped with two envelope generators per note. The MODE switch allows you to switch between ADSR and AR types. The POLARITY switch allows you to invert the polarity of the envelope. This is suitable for controlling the filter cutoff frequency with the envelope generator. When KEY FOLLOW is turned ON, you can change the time it takes for the envelope to change depending on the pitch. The higher the pitch, the shorter the change. When LEGATO is turned ON, the ATTACK and DECAY settings are ignored when the next KEY-ON occurs during the SUSTAIN period.

2-VCFs
Ladder type LPF & HPF

VCF: Each voice is equipped with a pair of transistor ladder type low-pass and high-pass filters. You can select either 6dB or 24dB of attenuation. You can also change the cutoff frequency with an envelope generator or LFO. When KEY FOLLOW is turned ON, the cutoff frequency is offset two octaves above the VCO1 frequency.

Noise Generator & LFO

Noise Generator: One white noise can be used per sound. This white noise can be passed through a low-pass filter or band-pass filter with a fixed level of resonance. If you turn on KEY FOLLOW, it can also be used as a sine wave oscillator. It can also be controlled by an envelope generator.

LFO: You can also use one LFO (Low Frequency Oscillator) per sound. You can choose between a triangle wave, a pulse wave, or a sine wave. If you set KEY-ON to RESET, the oscillator phase will be forced to start from zero when you press a key (or when the GATE signal changes). You can also delay the start of the LFO with the DELAY knob.

8-UserMemory
&
8-Special Preset voice

User Memory & Preset Voice: You can store up to eight tones created using the knobs and switches on the main panel. In addition, eight preset tones are provided as premium tones, so you can call up the preset tones and change the tone based on them.

Playing with MIDI
or
CV&Gate with MIG-Module

MIDI INPUT & "MiG" Module: When connected to a keyboard with a MIDI output terminal using a MIDI cable, you can play it through the internal MIDI to CV/GATE converter. Also, by connecting the optional "MiG" module internally, you can play it directly with CV/GATE signals.

SEND / RETURN
for External FX,
PHONES & LINE OUTPUT

SEND / RETURN: Equipped with a Send output and a Return input for connecting to an external effect. The Return input has a volume for adjusting the level. If you insert a jack into the Send output, all sound from the main unit will come out of the Send output, so you can adjust the Dry/Wet balance on the external effect and input the sound from the external effect to the Return input. If you do not insert a jack into the Send output and input sound into the Return input, the sound will be mixed with the sound from the main unit and output from the PHONES output and LINE output.

PHONES OUTPUT: The PHONES output outputs sound to headphones with an impedance of 32 ohms. The volume can be adjusted with the knob.

LINE OUT: The LINE OUT output is a mono output using a standard φ6.35 TRS phone jack. It is a TSR type jack and is a balanced output capable of driving an impedance of 600 Ω or more.
